John Schultz has been principal at Gross Catholic since 2012. He previously worked at Omaha Public Schools, where he served as a Supervisor in the Curriculum and Learning Department for seven years. His duties included writing a nationally distributed curriculum for the National Academy Foundation and the State of Nebraska Business and Marketing frameworks. He was also responsible for the development and delivery of the Business and Marketing Curriculum in the Omaha Public Schools. These duties included mentoring business and marketing teachers on strategies to increase student achievement. Prior to this, John taught for seven years, most recently at Benson High School. John, his wife Lynn, and their daughter are active parishioners at St. Leo Catholic Church. John and Lynn presented the Welcome Your Baby curriculum at St. Leo, and the family has been active in the music ministry and volunteering for Vacation Bible School. John has been a member of the St. Leo Parish Council for the last three years. John and Lynn are also active volunteers at St. Pius/St. Leo School. They served as the 2010 fundraiser co-chairs, and John has served as the School Board President for the past two years. He coaches two teams in the SPSL Soccer Club and served as president of the club for the 2010-11 season.
John's wife, Lynn Reed Schultz is a 1988 Gross Catholic alumnae and is the principal of St. Bernadette School.
