Gross Catholic is part of the Archdiocese of Omaha Catholic Schools system, consisting of 18 secondary schools and 57 elementary schools. The Archdiocese of Omaha, founded in 1850 and currently covering 23 counties in northeast Nebraska, is led by the Most Reverend George J. Lucas. The superintendent of schools is Monsignor James E. Gilg.
