Junior Cougar activities allow elementary school-aged children to learn more about Gross Catholic athletics and activities while learning skills, improving technique, and having fun!
The Junior Cougar Band is open to any 5th-8th grade student from St. Bernadette, St. Columbkille or St. Mary’s Bellevue Catholic schools. Students receive private lessons once a week at their school from Gross Catholic band director. The entire Junior Cougar Band meets once a week after school at Gross Catholic for group rehearsal.
Do you love to dance?
6th, 7th or 8th grade?
The Junior Allstar Cougars is a fun dance activity that practices 2 times per week at Gross. The main focus is on learning high school style pom, kick and hip hop technique and choreography. It is a great stepping stone to those girls interested in participating on a dance team in high school. We are accepting new members and no experience or tryouts are necessary.
The Junior Allstar Cougars perform at some Gross Catholic Boys and Girls basketball games. They may showcase at a few local high school dance competitions. That is determined annually based on the number of participants and the ability level of the dancers.
Practices begin at the end of August.
