Gross Catholic musicians have the opportunity to participate in several ensembles. The marching/pep/concert band meets during a scheduled class period during the day, and other ensembles (jazz band, jazz combo, pit orchestra for school musicals, etc.) rehearse after school.
- Marching band performs at all home football games and several area parades.
- Pep band performs at home volleyball and basketball games.
- Instrumental music students consistently receive superior ratings at District Music Contests and participate in various Honor Ensembles including: All-State Band, All-State Orchestra, UNO Honor Band, UNO Honor Orchestra, UNL Winter Winds & Percussion, NJO Young Lions Big Band, Nebraska Wesleyan Honor Band and the Metro Area Youth Jazz Orchestra (MAYJO).
