The Gross Catholic alumni community is over 9,000 strong. Yet, behind every reunion, every award, and every networking opportunity stands a dedicated group of volunteers. That group is the Alumni Committee — and they need you.
Fill Out the Interest Form Today! What Is the Alumni Committee?
The Gross Catholic Alumni Committee is a team of motivated Cougar graduates. Together, they meet quarterly to advance the alumni community in meaningful ways. Specifically, the committee focuses on four key areas:
- Nominations and selections for the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Cougar Spirit Award
- Event feedback to help improve alumni gatherings year after year
- Networking opportunities that connect Cougars across generations and industries
- Community growth to keep the Gross Catholic alumni family thriving
Currently, the 2026–2027 committee includes graduates from classes spanning 1990 to 2017. As a result, the team brings a wide range of life experience and perspective to every meeting.
Why Your Involvement in the Alumni Committee Matters
Gross Catholic has always been more than a school. It is a community rooted in faith, service, and the Marianist tradition. However, that community does not stop at graduation. Instead, it grows stronger every time an alumnus steps up to give back.
When you join the Alumni Committee, you directly support current students. For example, the Distinguished Alumni Award inspires students by showcasing what Cougars achieve after graduation. Similarly, alumni-led networking events give students and graduates access to real-world connections. Furthermore, the feedback the committee provides shapes events that bring the entire Cougar family together — from the Homecoming Tailgate to the annual Celebration evening.
In short, your time on this committee creates a ripple effect. Therefore, even a quarterly commitment can make a lasting difference.
Who Should Apply?
Whether you graduated last spring or walked across that stage decades ago, the Alumni Committee welcomes you. You do not need to live nearby or hold a professional title. You simply need a passion for Gross Catholic and a desire to serve.
The committee especially encourages alumni who want to reconnect with their roots. In fact, many current members joined after years away and found the experience deeply rewarding. Additionally, Cougar Connectors — a related volunteer role — offer an even lighter commitment. Connectors simply share school news and alumni updates electronically within their networks. As a result, they help keep every Cougar informed and engaged.
How to Join
Ready to get involved? The process is simple. First, complete the Alumni Committee interest form. Next, the committee will follow up with details about the next quarterly meeting. Finally, you will join a team of alumni who are actively shaping the future of the Cougar community.
Be a Leader: Become a Cougar Connector!
Additionally, if the full committee role feels like too big a step right now, consider signing up as a Cougar Connector instead. Both roles matter. Both roles make a difference.
Once a Cougar, always a Cougar. Now is the time to act — join the Alumni Committee today.
We Invite You To Share Your Cougar Story

The alumni community thrives when Cougars share their stories with one another. So, whether you landed your dream job, welcomed a new addition to your family, or reached a personal milestone, we want to hear about it. Simply fill out the 2026 Alumni Announcements form to share your news. Additionally, your update may be featured in the upcoming Dux Esto magazine, reaching thousands of fellow Cougars.
