Grading and Attendance
PowerSchool is our grading and attendance platform. Cougars can access their grades for individual assignments, quizzes, tests and projects. Parents can also check on their child’s progress as well as their attendance record.
Lunch
Catered lunch is suspended until further notice. Students will need to bring their own lunches. Typically lunch is as described below.
During non-Covid times students may bring their own lunch, purchase items from the school vending machines, or buy a hot catered lunch. Local vendors sell hot lunches for $5 or under. There is usually a different vendor every day of the week.
- Monday: Valentino’s
- Tuesday: Chicago Dawg
- Wednesday: Johnny’s Cafe
- Thursday: Taco John’s
- Friday: Fazoli’s
Resources
Our Student Handbook is a fantastic resource and should be read by all parents and students. It contains school policies regarding attendance, uniform and code of conduct as well as other important information.
Students can order books on their own using our book list. Spanish 1 and 2 students need to purchase a software license as well.
You can find out about what is happening this month by looking at our Parent Paws Newsletter.
Another resource to learn more about the Cougar Family is Dux Magazine which is published twice a year.
Each Cougar is given a school GC Gmail account where they receive announcements and other emails from the school as well as from teachers.
Google Classroom connects the teacher, student and parent with assignments and individual class announcents.
Parents who have their son or daughter in football, volleyball, softball, basketball, or soccer, will be assigned a duty such as taking money at the gate or selling concessions. The parent volunteer assignments are in a Google Spreadsheet.
As part of the Google Apps for Education universe, Cougars also have access to Drive, Calendar, Sites, and Google Classroom
