Student Council 2021-2022

Our School Leaders

The school motto (Dux Esto, Be a Leader) is taken very seriously by student council members. Consequently, the Gross Catholic student council builds leaders.

The council is made up of 29 sophomore, junior and senior students who are elected in the spring for the following year.  Importantly, any Gross Catholic student can run for election.

The student council is in charge of many activities including sock hops, spirit posters, various spirit activities, homecoming, prom and Gnimocemoh (that’s homecoming spelled backwards.)

As a matter of fact, the most significant event for the council is homecoming week. The council begins planning homecoming week soon after elections are held in April. Also, the group is especially proud of how successful they are decorating the main gym for the dance. Furthermore, Gross Catholic is famous citywide for their spectacular decorations for the homecoming dance.
